Plaxo is now an OpenID consumer (or "relying party"). This means if you're new to Plaxo and you have an OpenID, you can sign up quickly and easily, without having to make a new password for Plaxo or re-entering your basic profile info. Just enter your OpenID and go!
For existing Plaxo users, you can also attach OpenIDs to your account now and use them to sign in to your account.
As OpenID adoption continues to spread, you'll soon be able to use your OpenID-enabled Plaxo account across a wide variety of sites and services.
Plaxo also plans to become an OpenID provider, so you'll soon be able to use your Plaxo credentials and personal information on any site that accepts OpenID.
