Vada Jackson

Hi All! I guess I can best describe myself as a person who enjoys interacting with people and doing activities that will have a positive impact on my community. Most of my work experience has been in the nonprofit sector, however, I have had the opportunity to work in many roles and learn many skills.. I am currently not employed and seeking a position in the nonprofit sector. Some of my most recent experience includes providing oversight for development and delivery of the Heart of Florida United Way Volunteer Center's Grassroots Leadership curriculum to underserved neighborhoods in Orlando, Florida. I also worked as a Resource Manager for the Heart of Florida United Way's 2006 Fund Distribution process. I have experience as a Night Supervisor at a women's shelter, and I worked as an independent contractor for the Community Services Network coordinating a program that provided social services referrals to persons newly released from incarceration in state correctional facilities. I have written and have been awarded a couple of small grants for various projects and would like to develop this skill further.
