Jim Kendrick has 40 years of leadership experience in executive, consulting, planning, evaluation, and new business development for the public sector, related industries, nonprofits, and higher education. He is president and practice manager of the P2C2 Group, Inc., a consulting firm serving the U.S. Federal Sector. Current engagements focus on portfolio management, program and acquisition planning, budgeting, information technology, and cost reduction. He is a Certified Management Consultant and Project Management Professional, and he has teamed with a wide range of Federal contractors and grantees including Nortel Government Solutions, Computer Sciences Corporation, K.W. Tunnell, and Coppin State University.
Jim began his career as executive director of a community development agency in Appalachia, and he was recognized for his work there by the Rural Service Award, presented by Sargent Shriver, Office of Economic Opportunity. He then worked for New York University as a senior consultant under Federal contracts and grants, providing planning assistance to high-unemployment urban communities such as Birmingham and Phoenix. After serving as Director of Planning and Evaluation of the National Urban Coalition, he co-founded and served as COO of Kendrick & Company, a Federal contracting firm that first focused on program research and evaluation, and later on information technology.
He has provided consulting services to the Executive Office of the President, the Federal Reserve, most major agencies of the Executive Branch, the Department of Defense, and the Navy. His nonprofit consulting experience includes the Council for Professional Recognition, National Association for the Education of Young Children, National Council on the Aging, National League of Cities, American Bankers Association, AARP, and the Center for Community Change.
Jim was born in Indianapolis, graduated from Butler University, and attended graduate school at Indiana University. He has three children, a step son, and an honorary son. He is remarried and lives with his soul mate, Elena.
