Steven De Schrijver’s practice concentrates on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, financing of acquisitions, private equity and venture capital. His work in the area of corporate transactions has involved him in several national and cross-border transactions in the telecom, IT, biotech, petrochemical and cement sectors. In addition Steven has handled numerous complex commercial agreements and projects dealing with new technologies (e-commerce, software licensing, website development and hosting, privacy law, technology transfer, digital signature, IT-outsourcing etc.). For instance, he has coordinated several pan-European data protection compliance programmes. He was co-editor of the 2nd Edition of the Business Law Guide to Belgium and frequently publishes articles on selected topics relating to company law and IT law. He is also a regular speaker at conferences. Steven is the Vice-President of the Corporate Acquisitions Commission of AIJA and a member of the Steering Committee of the International M&A Committee of the Section of International Law of the ABA. Steven is also the Director Business & Networking of JCI Brussel.
