Jean-Marc has broad finance, marketing and new business development experience spanning over 25 years within financial services (banking and credit), loyalty programs, and the finance and accounting functions. His key areas of expertise include business development, strategic orientation planning, strategic partnership negotiation and management, marketing and project management. Jean-Marc’s diverse background has been realized through the progressive positions he has held throughout his career at Sears Canada and recently by joining Scotiabank International Group. Jean-Marc has successfully managed and implemented many large scale projects including the Sears Growth Strategy Initiatives in collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group, loyalty programs re-launch, the creation of Sears Canada Bank, the conversion of Sears legacy credit billing platform to the TSYS platform, the launch of the Sears MasterCard and the creation and management of the Sears Card Partners Program. His accomplishments have resulted in significant financial benefit for Sears and have generated more services and offers to customers. Jean-Marc’s success has been due to his ability to recognize and understand business and customers needs, build rapport, continuously develop business partnerships and provide bottom line results. Jean-Marc has built a strong Financial Services contact network throughout his career and retains these connections today. Jean-Marc’s values include trust, respect and partnership. He focuses on providing a professional and teamwork approach, enabling the business and the individuals he is working with to attain their goals. Jean-Marc is a strong advocate of work and life balance and while he is not working his time is totally devoted to his family. He lives in Whitby with his wife and two teenage daughters.
