Chuck LarsonRealtor, Coldwell Banker Chicora Chuck Larson Professionally Serving Your Real Estate Needs My wife, Dana, and I moved to Heritage Plantation in January, 2002. We had survived 29 years of living in the Windy City of Chicago and decided the Grand Strand and Pawleys Island were right for us . . . . and right we were! I am originally from Denver and spent most of my life in Colorado and Illinois. Dana is from Virginia, and she says the only reason she married me was because I was born in Richmond (my dad was stationed at Fort Lee). She introduced me to the Outer Banks and I decided the beach/golf life style was for me. A friend back in the Midwest told us of Horry and Georgetown Counties, so we flew to Myrtle Beach, bought a lot at Heritage Plantation, and the rest is history! My working career has lead me down many paths. After graduating with a B.A. and M.A. from the Universities of Colorado and Denver, I worked as a sales representative in the wholesale toy and hobby business. In 1974, my family and I moved to northern Illinois where I was a manufacturer’s representative covering the Midwest territory. Along the way, I served as a Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for a toy/hobby manufacturer. After 22 years in the for-profit business arena, I changed careers and became a not-for-profit manager. I served as a director of development for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation (largest social fraternity in America) and then for The Rotary Foundation (largest service organization in the world), both in Evanston, IL. This background in sales and marketing has allowed me to transfer many skills to the real estate business. This career change has allowed me to bring my service oriented commitment to you as you search for your retirement home, vacation home, or investment property. Coldwell Banker Chicora is #1 on the Grand Strand as we sold more properties than any other company. I am with the best – wouldn’t you want to, too? My philosophy is to work hard and play hard. I will LISTEN to your needs so that I can bring you the great feeling of owning your own place in this wonderful state whose motto is: “Smiling Faces. . . Beautiful Places.”
