I ski as much as I can each year. For the last 5 years, I have had about 45 days of skiing each year. I'm a Senior Ski Patroller and a Certified Level II Ski Instructor. In the warm weather, I like to sail, hike and I ride a road bike. I have been a Virginia Supreme Court certified mediator in the District Court since 2005. I retired from the FAA September 2007 after 26 years as an Air Traffic Controller. Since retirement, I have worked for CSSI, Inc. supporting the FAA Headquarters in Safety Risk Management for a year, then working on Next Generation Air Traffic Control System, visioning and helped write several Concept of Operations documents. I then work for CSC in the Volpe Center in Cambridge, MA. supporting NextGen programs with assessments of the need for safety activities prior to implimentation, and facilitating SRMD Panels. I am now working for Systems Enginuity supporting Terminal Safety Engineering as an ATC SME and a Safety Risk Management Professional. I was a member of the Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group from 2002-2009, and I was the land navigation training team leader for 3 years.
