Joe maintains an active search practice and focuses on retainer searches in areas of placing Country General Managers, Directors (CIO/CTO,CFO,HR Directors, Sales, Marketing, Engineering ) for Japan and Asia Pacific market.

He co-founded OpenMarkets in 2008 with Japanese private venture capitalists and currently, Vice President of Operation Strategy, driving the permanent recruitment business here in Japan and new business development.

Prior to starting OpenMarkets, Joe experienced twice building permanent recruitment business for foreign recruitment firms here in Tokyo since 2004 and joined a global executive search firm where he developed a strong passion in executive recruiting. Joe's success driven, motivation and high integrity attitude has proven him as a top revenue generator, establishing strong relationship with his Tier-1 retainer clients.

His strong understanding in Asian values and Japanese business ethics has earned him good relationships to many top executives here in Japan and Asia.

Prior to recruiting, Joe was a sales representative with a Japanese medical consulting firm. He conducts sales and business presentations for eastern Japan (Kanto) territory. He possesses fluent Japanese, English and Mandarin. Having lived in Sydney since 20, Joe has over 10 years of extensive international cultural influence and living abroad experience.

Originally from Singapore, Joe was a Military Police, platoon leader and marching commander while serving Singapore Armed Forces in 1997. He was also a Kingfisher scout leader and track and field athlete. During his free time, he cycles around Tokyo with his family and avid participant of Japanese Cultural Festival around Meguro ward.
