Retired from the Miami Beach Convention Center in 1989, worked my way up the ranks from secretary in 1961 to Assistant Director. The Convention Center is known worldwide for its million square feet of exhibit space and its versatility. The multipurpose facility includes the Theater of Performing Arts which has presented the world's finest legitimate theater productions and stars from all parts of the globe. This ol gal retired from the Miami Beach Convention Center in 1989, moved to Virginia and opened Whisperhill Pet Resort, a small dog boarding kennel, with my partner, Chris Henkel. We live in a 1932 farmhouse with 12 dogs, 2 parrots, & 2 indoor cats. Outside, we care for "feral" cats. As you can see, our lives are totally involved with pets, pet rescue and adoption. We're also active in our church and have made many friends in this wonderful part of the country.
