Over a decade ago, when the amazing concept of sharing information via the World Wide Web began to take place on people’s personal computers, my interest in the use of technology in our modern era began. This interest led me to work with Internet, Intranet and Extranet web sites for various technology companies. As a consultant, I was responsible for the creation of public web sites for Tri-Rail, The Morikami Museum and other commercial and non-for-profit sites. Five years ago, I had the great fortune of being involved in the deployment of an intranet site using SharePoint technology for a software company in Boca Raton. My interest for web technology has since been transformed to passion for fostering collaboration and solving document and knowledge management deficiencies harnessing the power of SharePoint.
