Nelson, Mullins, Riley, and Scarborough

After nearly nine years of running my own Government Relations firm, I have Joined the law firm of Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough. This great South Carolina based institution has offices up and down the Eastern Seaboard from Florida to Boston. I work in the DC office. Some of the partners include, Congressman Butler Derrick, with whom I served in the early to mid ninties. Butler was the Chief Deputy Whip for the Democrats before retiring from Congress. I am also pleased to be partners with former SC Governor and Education Secretary Dick Riley, Ambassadors Phil Lader and David Wilkins. David was also the Speaker of the House in the SC legislature. Previously I served in the U.S. House of Representatives for four terms. Nominated by the Democrats to run for the U.S. Senate in 2000, I started my own company after failing to win that election. From 1969 to 1992 Iwa an award winning broadcast journalist. Ifinished my last 14 year run in the business by anchoring and reporting the news at KDKA TV in Pittsburgh. I left that job in early 1992 to run successfuly for Congress.
