JoAnn Vanfleteren opened Vanfleteren Consulting in 2005. She brings more than 15 years of experience helping to guide marketing, corporate communications, branding and product development while finding opportunities to streamline marketing endeavors. Vanfleteren’s marketing efforts of companies range from Fortune 500 leaders to emerging brands and start-ups. Over the past fifteen years, Vanfleteren has led key initiatives for some of the world’s leading companies. Before creating Vanfleteren Consulting, she served as head of Marketing Communications for Interventional Cardiology at Boston Scientific’s European headquarters in Paris, France. In this role, she served as the cardiology communication counsel to management and led European communications, crisis communications, event strategy and new product launches. She also served as the Global Marketing Manager for Esselte in England, the world's largest office products manufacturer. Vanfleteren focused on unifying the brand image across 17 countries and launched their B2B online presence in 22 countries and ten languages. As a result, Vanfleteren was promoted to head the European Consumer Division for Europe at Esselte’s European headquarters in Belgium. In this position, she led the product development team and identified cost savings that exceeded two million Euros. Previously at Nationwide Building Society, the world's largest building society with assets exceeding 202 billion pounds, Vanfleteren led the marketing initiative for the first online bank in the United Kingdom. The online bank rose to the number one position within six months surpassing 750 branches.
