My Masters Degrees are Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Masters in Human Resources (MA.HR). I am licensed in all lines of insurance (property and casualty, life and health) and hold the Professional Designation Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Less than 3% of insurance agents are certified. I have been a partner in a family independent insurance agency since 1982 (we incorporated in 1983). Currenlty I manage the Glendale office, for Ideal Insurance Agency, and my brother Dan manages the Surprise office. Ideal Insurance Agency does every line of insurance (auto, homes, recreational vehicles, life insurance, health insurance group benefits, bonds, and workers compensation through several highly rated insurance companies. We shop for both coverage and price. I have taught in the insurance industry since 2001. In addition I hold the professional designation in Human Resources Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR). Since 1998 I have been asked and participated in reviewing state insurance exams for becoming licensed in insurance. As an expert witness since 2006 I have been involved in determining standard of care for many insurance Agents. It has has been my pleasure to be very active in volunteer professional and community work, and I have served on several academic, professional, and community boards. Often I am asked to speak on insurance and/or human resource issues. A book I have just started has an emphasis on the commonality of language for insurance/risk management/ and human resources.
