Dr. wurmser is aNJ Licensed Psychologist and an experienced Senior Executive for Mental Health, Substance Abuse Treatment, Developmental Disabilities and Special Education programs, Dr. Wurmser has consulted to NJ Department of Health and Department of Human Service Divisions as well as to community based programs in areas including:Design of Medicaid Home and Community-based Waiver programs for the elderly or the disabled, Design and implementation of Quality Management Strategies for Medicaid Waiver programs, Design and Implementation of grant applications to respond to DHSS, DHS or DCF RFPs in NJ and CMS grant programs of the federal government, Strategic Planning for health and human service programs, Design and implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement systems at project, program or system levels, Program Evaluation and outcome measurement systems for mental health, substance abuse and other human service programs, Design, planning and implementation of Predoctoral or Postdoctoral Psychology Training Programs and preparation for APA Accreditation Site Visits. Currently a Clinical Faculty member in the Dept. of Psychiatry, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Assistant Director of the psychology internship at University Behavioral Healthcare and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, she was the CEO for a nonprofit CMHC and increased the budget from $3 million to $26 million. She managed a multi-site agency providing special education, residential treatment, group homes, supervised apartments, therapeutic foster care, outpatient mental health & substance abuse services, EAP services for corporate employees, Managed Care contracts; Integrated Case Management, Programs for PACT, Youth Case Management, Juvenile Justice programs, Partial Care and Medication Clinics. Dr. Wurmser was the Director of and APA-Approved Clinical Psychology Internship; taught Psychological Assessment Seminar. Other professional activities: Directed NIMH Training Grant, Developed Program Evaluation and Quality Management Program for federal Community Mental Health Center program including over 20 affiliate agencies including programs with three Hospitals, Designed & implemented MIS at a large CMHC for Federal, State, County and other contract reporting, multi-payer billing and corporate management, Implemented ongoing Client Representative evaluation component to collect consumer satisfaction information and published results as CMHC Best Practice, Provided consultation to PerformCare LLC on their successful bid for the New Jersey Division of Child Behavioral Health’s Contracted Service Administrator contract, Provides training for PerformCare new hires to work on the CSA contract, • Project Director for Mental Health Technical Assistance Center for Region II, U.S. Public Health Services—directed four contracts to provide technical assistance in Program Management to CMHCs in Financial Management and Cost-Outcome evaluation& development of Management Information Systems, Outcome evaluation for clinical interventions and prevention programs, Directed U.S. Public Health Service contract to produce training materials on involving community representatives, consumers and family members in Program Evaluation for CMHCs, • Managed corporate reorganization to establish a Holding Company and Supporting Foundation and served as President of the Holding Company for community-based non-profit, Negotiated and served as President of a Joint Venture with Meridian Health System that managed both partners’ outpatient behavioral healthcare services as an integrated system, Managed and developed business through capitated and fee for service managed care contracts for the Joint Venture, Accreditation Site Visitor for APA Psychology Accreditation Committeem, Consultation to prepare Psychology Internships for Accreditation, Consultation on Development & Evaluation of Children’s Services, Design and Implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement programs for Home & Community Based Services—developed NJ DDD’s Real Choice Systems Change Grant for QA/QI, Technical Assistance to NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities for System Change, supported coordination of program development and IT planning efforts, Technical Assistance to NJ Division of Aging and Community Services—assistance in development and implementation of System Transformation Grant; assisted in Quality Management and IT planning and coordination, Consultation on Corporate Configuration to facilitate program development for Center for Behavioral Health, Bloomington, IN, Training presentations to Colorado Behavioral Health Conference, Presentation on training psychologists in developing competencies for managed care—California Psychological Association, |
