Al Paden

Principal Engineer & Founder, LaunchPoint Technologies, Inc.

Alvin R. Paden, BSEE, received his BSEE from Oregon State University in 1957 and has worked on major defense contracts with Raytheon Company, Electromagnetic Systems Division, until co-founding LaunchPoint Technologies in 1992. He has over 30 years of experience in electrical design, system integration, and project management. Project management positions include the Navy's SLQ-32 shipboard electronic countermeasures system development, and the Air Force ALQ-184 airborne countermeasures system. AL has served as a project manager for a number of LaunchPoint projects including the StreamLiner maglev artificial heart. His current position at LaunchPoint is Chief Engineer for marketing and export sales of Magnetic Moments Academic Products: Magnetic Bearing Controller (MBC), Eddy-Current Sensor (ECS), and Bouncing Ball Experiment (BBE).
