Beth WhelandStrawbery Banke Museum Raised in Somersworth, NH. Attended Keene State College 1975-77; joined USMC in 1978 for a 4-year hitch; married a fellow enlisted and landed in southeastern MI. Raised 2 girls there, got bachelor's and masters degrees University of Michigan, worked at Catholic social Services, Muscular Dystrophy Association, University of Michigan, first in client services then in fundraising. Divorced during MDA and before UM. Returned to NH (where extended family is) in 2006 with younger daughter in tow. Older daughter married and in CA. Living happily in Kittery, ME working at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, NH. |
