Over twenty-five years' professional experience in opera, musical, concert and recital as conductor (c. 1500 appearances), solo pianist and accompanist (a further 1000) in over ninety countries. Equally at home in theatre, concert hall or recording studio, in light or classical music, Miles has also appeared on BBC Television and Radio, NBC 'Today' Programme in the USA, ARD, ZDF and SWF in Germany, France 3 Télévision as well as TV appearances in Moscow and St. Petersburg. He is currently Assistant Conductor at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Musical Assistant at the Bayreuther Festspiele, visiting coach at the Teatro Municipal, Santiago de Chile, Artistic director of the Austrian summer recital festival 'Lieder am Berghof' as well as of the Toulouse Festival Choir. His latest conducting project, the opera 'Messidor, l'Or de l'Ariège' by Emile Zola and Alfred Bruneau, with an entirely French cast, was released on DVD in May, 2010 with a CD following shortly.
