Andy GreenDirector and Senior Lecturer, StarDome Astronomy Astronautics I have been involved in astronautics and space for over 34 years initially in an amateur and then professional capacity. I’ve travelled the world many times to give presentations and lectures, visit Space Centres and observatories as far away as those in Australia and Hawaii. In addition to this, I've been a member of the media at KSC for a shuttle launch and I have met and chatted to many current and former astronauts and cosmonauts gaining a unique insight into their missions and lives, including some of the men who have walked on the moon. I am also an astro-travel consultant and have accompanied trips to China and I will be in Chile and Easter Island 2010 for the solar eclipse. I have lectured for Cunard on the QE-2, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, and presented talks for the London Science Museum. Every month I am the regular astro expert guest on BBC Radio. CEO/Director and Senior Lecturer of StarDome - Astronomy & Astronautics, a public outreach, professional consulting and lecturing service. I have been honoured by having my picture flown in space to the International Space Station where it orbited the earth for 7 months. My University Honours degree is in Geo-Science/Planetary Geology and I am a Fellow of both the British Interplanetary Society and Royal Astronomical Society. I enjoy travelling, meeting new people and passing on my knowledge of Space Flight and Astronomy. |
