Christopher TuckerCEO, Tucker & Partners / T&P Ventures Christopher has worked for some of the leading investment banks in Europe and is now a corporate finance and strategy adviser to growing technology companies from around the world. He has over fifteen years’ experience of capital markets and over ten as a corporate finance and strategy adviser. His experience includes deal origination, strategic advisory services, strategy development, strategic reviews, investment analysis, raising finance (seed round to IPO), IPOs, developing strategic alliances, transaction support, and investor communications. He has a strong technology sector background and extensive international experience. Christopher is currently the CEO of Tucker & Partners / T&P Ventures, a management consultancy firm he founded to provide advisory and business development services to growing companies in the telecom and technology sectors. The firm now has over 15 associates in the UK and Washington DC, many with C-level experience in Fortune 500 companies, or director / vice president level experience in investment banking, management consulting, or professional services. Christopher’s clients have included technology companies, venture capital firms, technology incubators, corporate finance firms, law firms, entrepreneurs, economic development agencies, and trade organisations. Christopher also serves on the secretariat of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Homeland Security, a group he helped to set up in 2009, and is a non-executive director of Sphere Resources, a Canadian TSX-listed company. He also served for over three years on the investment committee of Ouest Ventures, a French venture capital firm specialising in the technology sector. Prior to founding Tucker & Partners, Christopher had spent most of his career in investment banking, where he rapidly established his reputation as a leading (“rated”) analyst in the telecommunications and technology sectors, and subsequently held director / vice president level roles in investment research or corporate finance at Kleinwort Benson, Banque Indosuez, Banque Paribas, and WestLB. During the 1990s, he worked on most of the major IPOs and secondary offerings in the telecoms sector in Europe. While at Banque Indosuez, he played a key role in securing the bank’s first UK privatization mandate, and subsequently, at Banque Paribas, was the lead analyst for the IPO of France Telecom, for which the bank was global coordinator and adviser to the French Treasury. Christopher spent his early career in the Central Electricity Generating Board, the UK’s nationalised electricity utility, initially as a physicist and subsequently as a strategist at the company’s headquarters. Christopher has an M.A. in Physics from Oxford University and an MSc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from London University. He is also a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered Physicist, a Member of the Institute of Business Consulting, and an Affiliate Member of the Securities Institute.
