Multi-intsrumentalist, producer, arranger and performer based in Austin, TX. Cirque du Soleil talent pool. National commercial credits include principal appearances as a beatboxer for Chili's, Schlotzsky's and Austin City Limits, Southwest Airlines, and music for Wal-Mart. Acting credits include Judas in Zach Scott theater's production of Jesus Christ Superstar and a co-starring role on Fox's "Prison Break". Active in the Austin, Texas Music Scene since moving there in 1991. Produced, performed, and recorded with numerous bands and artists including Ozomatli, BoomBoxATX, Schrödinger's Cat, Woodwork, Trio Los Vigilantes, and Sixpence None the Richer. Nine Austin Music Awards. The City of Austin named January 27th, 2005 "John Pointer Day." On the advisory board for the Austin Music Foundation, as well as their Distinguished Artist Panel.
