I started my career in Education teaching History in a suburban St. Louis school district. During my tenure I obtained my Masters in Secondary School Education. I loved teaching but unfortunately couldn't support a family on $15,000 per year. We relocated back to Denver to find a new career and ended up accepting a position as the Administrator of a home care company in San Antonio, Texas. After five years we built that branch to be the largest in the national chain. I was approached by Professional Nurses Bureau, a part of Kidde Corporation a Fortune 500 Company, to become the Southwest Regional Manager of their home care company. The job included 15 operations in 5 states and eventually generated more than thirty-two million dollars a year. I have been in the home care industry since and now own Integrity Nursing Services in Scottsdale, Arizona.
