Ms. Locke is the founder of T.I.E.S and is dedicated to helping others, in the community, reach their full potential. She has exceptional interpersonal skills, initiative, and proven ability to help people. Her therapeutic work address many issues. She has worked with all age groups from the cradle to the very old using individual, group and a family approach to treatment. Ms. Paula Locke began using discrete trails with consumers suffering from cognitive disorders subsequent to receiving her Bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1998. Later, She maintained employment with The Department of Children and Families while working towards a masters degree in social work. As a Family Services counselor, she had the opportunity to counsel abused and neglected children for several years before focusing her full attention to the adult population. During her internship at Hollywood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, she was a member of the utilization management team. She earned a Masters Degree from Barry University in 2003. Currently she holds a license as a clinical social worker, a Certified Addiction Professional license, and is a Master License Social Worker. Ms. Locke works with many diverse populations and has experience with substance abuse disorders, transitioning, Gay and Lesbian issues, HIV/AIDS, cognitive disorders, major mental illness, as well as sever persistent mental illness (SPMI), and end of life issues. She has experience with medical social work as well as clinical social work. Some of her accomplishments include implementation of a single point of service at Jackson Memorial Hospital, starting the work release program at the Pompano Bridge, and maintaining a private practice for over three years, while supervising a full mental health staff of Third Step Community Mental Health Center. She has over fifteen years experience with treatment and a good working knowledge of needs. She is able to produce court approved comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans with consumers, write reports and progress notes, and is skilled with the use of the DSMVTR.
