It all started with a Blackstone magic set. Twenty-four years ago, that set became Shawn's introduction to the art of magic...a creative field to which he has since devoted his life. A true performer at heart, Shawn was entranced by the art of magic and was quick to indulge in his local library's magic section. As Shawn progressed through school, he submerged himself in magic literature and studied under several professional magicians,including Jeff McBride at the McBride Magic and Mystery School, Michael Keating (who worked with David Copperfield) and Eugene Burger. Under their tutelage, Shawn learned the foundations for showmanship and professionalism — knowledge which would enable him to build a repertoire of Illusions and magical effects that in the future would make him one of the most unique performers in the industry of Magic. Shawn has made appearances at famous venues including: The Mirage Hotel, The Aladdin Hotel, The Comedy Zone, The North Charleston performing Arts Center, The City of Charleston’s Cooper River Bridge Run, Golds Gym, the United States Department of Agriculture , The United States Air Force, the South Carolina Stingrays Hockey team , the Tokyo arena, The Walters Art Museum, The Baltimore Concert association Marti Gras Extravaganza, The Ellicott City Fall Arts Festival, Brazils famous Carnival, The Lyric Opera House, The Imperial Theater, The Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, The Sotille Theter just to name a few. From Sold out arenas to Cabaret style shows, in your face street magic, corporate events, movie premieres, to private yachts, Shawn has performed at a multitude of events and locations which has allowed him to perfect his art in the many arenas of the magician. While his studies in Psychology, Philosophy and Theatrical arts always seeped into his approach to magic, it was his continuous performing experience which most aided his creative development. With over Sixteen years of professional performing experience, Shawn has come to meld enigmatic illusion, a dynamic style and good sense of humor... making him a unique entertainment force in the industry today.
