Started my hotel career in Boston in 1982. Joined Hotels of Distinction as Secretary to the Controller for a year (The Copley Plaza) and then joined Westin Hotels there in 1983 (The Westin Copley Place). Completed my first opening as Executive Secretary to the Assistant GM (Donn Takahashi) and GM (Bodo Lemke). Transferred with Westin to The Bonaventure Los Angeles in 1985. Experienced a fantastic year in HR as Admin to the Director (Tom Moore). Transferred to NYC at The Plaza Hotel (Westin) prior to the Trump Organization. Also worked for the Trumps during takeover. Remained at The Plaza for 5 years and continued in NYC luxury hotels for 10 years before relocating to the Eastern Caribbean (1994/St. Maarten). Returned stateside in 1995 and continued 10 more fruitful years in Manhattan with Helmsley Hotels, Preferred Hotels and Intercontinental Hotels Group. 20 years in NYC! Relocated to Florida in 2005 - short term pre-opening and sales assignments at The Shores Resort & Spa (Noble House) and The Casa Monica Hotel (Preferred Hotels). Rejoined IHG in 2006 and completed opening project with Candlewood Suites in Ohio. Awarded Director of Sales of The Year 2008 - Midwest Region Candlewood Suites. Relocated back to Florida at the close of 2008. In 2009 completed another short term sales/reorg assignment with The Daytona Beach Resort as Director of Sales. Joined the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce, the St. Augustine & St. John's County Chambers as well as several local associations. Currently researching the next exciting project!
