Gary AdcockI am a retired coal miner, I worked underground for over 26 years and in July of 1994 I was injured when a large rock fell on me and crushed my right lower leg. Since that time I have been on a disability pension, I did not wish to be on disability but I was given no choice. I had many years of experience at many different jobs and I felt I could have continured to be a productive worker but the coal company gave me no choice. My own thoughts are that I had maxed out on all the benefits the coal company had to offer and the injury was a good chance to get rid of an aging empoyee and they took it and now I am stuck on disability and I feel I had another 15 years that I could have been productive.
