Emma trained at RSAMD graduating with BA Honours in Dramatic Studies in 2000. Since then she has been a drama worker, facilitator and director with various organisations and theatre companies including the Citizens Theatre, TAG, Tron Theatre, Solar Bear, Platform, 7:84, Birds of Paradise, Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre, East Glasgow Youth Theatre, Fablevision, Tricky Hat, Mull Theatre, Giant Productions and Scottish Opera. She has worked with a wide range of individuals with diverse needs including adults and young people with disabilities and learning difficulties, looked after and accommodated young people, the elderly and the homeless. Emma has led projects in addiction rehabilitation centres, prisons, young offenders’ institutes, schools and with organisations such as Action for Children Scotland and Theatre in Prison and Probation (TIPP). She is currently developing Therapeutic Theatre with people who use mental health services and has experience working in various mental health settings including Leverndale and Southern General hospitals and Knightswood CAMHS team. Emma is a registered Psychodrama Psychotherapy trainee at The Northern School of Psychodrama and a Person-Centred Counsellor in training at Strathclyde University. Emma is due to complete both Diploma trainings in 2011.
