Richard Lacquement

Colonel, US Army

I am a Colonel in the US Army. My speciality is Strategic Plans and Policy ("Strategist" for short). I am also a Field Artilleryman. I am currently assigned to the US Army War College as the Director of Military History and Strategy in the Department of National Security and Strategy. I started teaching here in the Summer of 2009. I previously taught at the US Naval War College (2002-2005) and the United States Military Academy Department of Social Sciences (1995-1998). My specialties include Counterinsurgency, Stability Operations, Civil-Military Relations, Military Professionalism, National Security Policy, and Theory of War and Strategy. I am a member of the Association of the US Army, the American Political Science Association and the International Studies Association.
