Lynda Hales

Lynda was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, right after WWII. Writing stories was her blissful escape as a child, and she spent delirious hours reading – the Compton's Encyclopedia. She married her personal hero, Gary, during the self-indulgent 70's, and they've been married for 36 years as of last St. Patrick's Day. In 1979, the family relocated to the Seattle area, where she lives with her husband near their five grown kids and five grandchildren. Lynda started dabbling in writing during high school, but put all that on hold to change diapers, cater to the demands of a husband and family, and work in the corporate world. Luckily, all the kids grew up and left home somewhat intact, and in 1992, she abandoned the rat race of a full-time job and the daily wearing of pantyhose and high heels. She started taking herself seriously as a writer after her kids became self-sufficient. Lynda joined Romance Writers of America in 1993 and began her writing career in earnest by volunteering as the Greater Seattle Chapter's newsletter editor, winning first place in the National Chapter Newsletter Contest in 1997. She also volunteered to assist the chairman in planning and executing the National RWA Conference in Dallas in 1996, and was awarded the RWA Service Award in recognition for her dedication to that organization. Her newest release, IDENTICAL DECEPTION, the first e-book in the IDENTICAL series from Stonehedge Publishing, is a tale of sizzling romance amid unspeakable horror; a roller-coaster ride of a road trip that will leave you breathless. Her first book, TREACHEROUS LOVE, was nominated for the prestigious Golden Heart Award in 1996. This steamy romantic adventure is a tale of an ancient Norwegian wolf curse and redeeming convictions, and was published in July of 2005.
