Mr. Areia is the founder and CEO of Phare Global Markets. Phare is a global consulting firm providing high‐level expertise in international business development, channel development, distribution strategies, and marketing of software and financial services products through customizable services. It focuses initially on providing two kinds of international triangles: • Providing United States and European clients with development for Latin American markets. • Providing Latin American clients with development for the United States and European markets. He started the Firm in October 2007 from New York City, and structured the business in Brazil after returning to São Paulo during that same year. Prior to starting Phare Global, Mr. Areia was a Senior Sales executive at Bloomberg L.P. in New York and São Paulo, a NY based financial information company owned by Mr. Michael Bloomberg. Based in New York for 2.5 years Mr. Areia has provided service for many of the leading Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions. He also worked for Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup Global Markets) in East Lansing, Michigan in 2004 and Raymond James in Santa Barbara, California in 2000 prior to joining Bloomberg in New York. Mr. Areia holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Michigan State University.
