David KnightInvestor, Self I started D.J. Knight & Company, Ltd. in a 250 sq. ft. apartment on West 16th Street in August of 1987 with $10,000, eight weeks before the stock market crash. My first clients were American Express, Arthur Andersen, Swiss Bank Corporation and Goldman Sachs. I built my relocation and residential real estate management firm into 120 employees with three offices in Manhattan and one office in London. I sold it in 2004 to www.sirva.com, the largest relocation and transportation company in the world. I have been with my partner for almost 25 years. We have three children: Jason (7 1/2 y.o.) and twin girls, Alessandra & Isabelle (5 1/2 y.o.). They are the love of my life!
