Hurry, Hurry, Hurry on the Midway! Step right up the show is about to start. I was raised a Carnival midway, from its “Pig Iron”, (putting up rides), “Running Joints” (operating games) and ending up as a “Patch”, (an ombudsman, peace maker) on the carnival. With barely a fifth grade education, all of my knowledge came from the tutelage I received from the men and women on the Midway of Life. What I learned from my fellow carnies and studying the thousands of marks (people who came to see the show that I encountered over the years) was my school. All of this life experience qualified me to write my last book, “The Golden Rule of Schmoozing.” It has become the, “get along with everybody hand book”. Now get ready to go inside my world, sit back, find a comfortable chair and experience carnival life and people that were with it in the fifties with its scent of cotton candy, and sawdust.
