Pastor VasserCurrent Pastor of St. John AME Church- Mexia, Tenth Episcopal District A native of Flint Michigan, The Rev. Delphine Lynetta Vasser has been in the ministry for over 29 years. For the past 13 years she has served as the Senior Pastor of the Greater Johnson African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Ferris Texas. As of June 20,2004, Pastor Delphine was assigned to the Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church, Terrell, Texas.On November 19,2006 at the seat of the Tenth Episcopal District Planning Meeting of the African Methodist Episcopal Church she was assigned as pastor of the Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. On November 17,2008 at the seat of the Tenth Episcopal District Planning Meeting of the African Methodist Episcopal Church she was assigned as pastor of the Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Mexia, Texas. Pastor Delphine is a graduate of Emerson College, Boston Mass. Where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Communication, with a concentration in Business - Industrial Organizational Communication. She received a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University, also in Boston. She has earned 23 credit hours toward a Masters of Divinity Degree. From Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Ok. Pastor Delphine is the founder of the ministry, Totality of Imani. Focusing on the needs of the people, the purpose of this ministry is to bring about inner healing and forgiveness. A component part of this ministry is the workshop “Removal of the Mask & Baggage” i.e. those things which hinder you from walking into your full purpose. Currently, Pastor Delphine is the Assistant Property Manger for the 10th Episcopal District Headquarters (AMEC), a noted conference speaker; she served eight years as the President of the 10th District AMEC- Women In Ministry. At the Forty-seventh session of the African Methodist Episcopal Church General Conference, was elected to a four-year term as Connectional First Vice President of the Women In Ministry. And she is a contributing author to the Sister to Sister Devotional edited by the Rev. Dr. Suzan Denise Johnson Cook. The African American Pastor Coalition Book entitled Solutions. She is currently the recording secretary for the African American Pastor’s Coalition. Our Texas Magazine recognized her as one of the Twenty Millenia Women- March 2005 Issue of Women Who Pastor. She is also the Morning Glory Prayer & Evening Glory Prayer convener for the Daughters of Thunder, Inc.
