Kerryn VellemanDirector and Executive Coach, Kru Consulting Pty Ltd With almost 20 years experience in facilitating change, Kerryn has established a track record in coaching executive, senior and front-line managers in Australia and the Asia Pacific region and in delivering leadership development and team interventions to support change management initiatives. Kerryn has worked across the telecommunications, financial services, retail, manufacturing, health, biomedical research, hospitality and professional services sectors with companies ranging from local businesses to global corporations. As Learning and Development Manager of the Australian arm of a leading global financial services group, Kerryn formulated and implemented the people and leadership development strategy to achieve challenging performance targets within the organisation’s four-year transformation program. During this time, Kerryn supervised the placement activities of Organisational Psychology post-graduate (doctoral) students, implemented a coaching and mentoring program to develop high potential leaders, managed the delivery of the company’s first corporate-wide induction and front-line leadership programs and facilitated team development initiatives to embed a significant culture change program. In her previous internal consulting roles, Kerryn formulated people strategies and processes to support a major organisational re-structure and managed the formulation of a leading-edge recruitment, selection and mentoring strategy that proved to be highly successful in attracting and retaining exceptionally high quality recruits to the financial services industry. In 2003, Kerryn started her own consulting practice – Kru Consulting, specializing in performance consulting, executive coaching and leadership development for managers operating at all levels of organisations. Since then, Kerryn has facilitated assessment centres to generate an executive talent pool for one of Australia’s largest retailing groups, has designed and facilitated development programs for leadership teams in Australia and Singapore and delivered the Leadership and Management Skills subject for the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) post-graduate degree at Monash University. Kerryn has spent more than 1,000 hours coaching over 100 senior executives, managers and leadership teams – heightening self-awareness and facilitating improved role performance and relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Additionally, Kerryn coaches executives and managers to successfully integrate their roles as parents and professionals to optimize their performance and satisfaction. Kerryn engages executive teams and their people in building resilience and organisational culture change. Kerryn works with organisations to deepen the use of employee engagement data by making sense of what people are actually experiencing in terms of how they are expected to interact with others and approach their work.
