The Windham Group, headquartered near Akron, Ohio, was founded in 1997 by Rick Jacobson, a professional with a well-established career in executive search and corporate recruiting. Rick has significant experience in manufacturing, information technology, telecommunications, and several service industries, including insurance and asset management. With over twenty years of recruiting and executive selection experience, in a variety of industries, he has secured talent for nearly every functional discipline found in both manufacturing and many service environments. The firm also partners with several other organizations and consultants to provide maximum resources to a client’s hiring needs. Before establishing The Windham Group, Rick was a retained search consultant for several years with The Sager Company, Christian & Timbers, and Bowden & Company, all in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to executive search, Rick’s professional experience included several years in corporate recruitment and human resources with Deloitte & Touche, a “big-six” public accounting firm; Capitol American, an insurance company; Wadsworth/Alert Laboratories, a “state-of-the-art” environmental testing facility; and OfficeMax, a national retail chain. He began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen in Cleveland, (pre-Enron) after receiving a BS in Accounting from The University of Akron.
