Andrea GoslineAuthor and Creative Director, Ambledance Pictures and Verse Andrea Alban Gosline is a poet, novelist and author of children's picture books. Her inspirational writings are crafted in a voice that is both plain-spoken and heartfelt, weaving in nature themes and her gratitude for motherhood and family time. Andrea is a native San Franciscan and was raised in a neighborhood teeming with big backyards and adventurous children. She discovered her passion for creative writing on her sixth birthday when she decided to “make” a poetry book–a handlettered scroll tied with red ribbon. At high school graduation, Andrea was awarded the Bank of America English Achievement Award. The framed certificate still hangs in her writing room as a beacon for her creative journey. She recently returned to San Francisco State University to finish her B.A. in English, Creative Writing and was awarded an Osher Reentry Scholarship. She graduated in May 2008 and was accepted into the Graduate Program in Creative Writing for Fall 2008. Andrea has worn many entrepreneurial hats–from owning a natural food store and teaching healthy cooking classes for kids to writing marketing materials for natural foods businesses and producing events for the National Parks Association, Earth Day, the Salvation Army, and the American Heart Association. Now a full-time mother, author, and Creative Director, Andrea lives in a 1927 English Tudor with her husband, their two children and their Irish Setter, Dusty. |
