I am an electrical engineer/educator at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I have been in academia for over 20 years and am a senior lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering. My field of expertise is electronic communication, specifically digital baseband (wired) and passband (wireless) systems. I am a very practical engineer with much experience in the design of circuits on the physical layer of communication networks. Specifically, I have specialised in designing low noise amplifiers, low phase noise oscillators and power amplifiers. I also enjoy the latest 3G wireless technology and presently am broadening my expertise into the GPRS, Wi-Fi, Wmax, UMTS and Voip (TCP/IP) technologies.
