Nida Davis

Chief Technology Architect Officer, Board of Governers of The Federal Reserve System

Nida Davis is currently the chief technology architect Officer (CTA) for Supervision and Regulations at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Prior to joining the Fed, Nida served as the chief technology officer (CTO) of the American Red Cross where she serves as technology strategist and leader of enterprise architecture and standards. Nida joined the Red Cross to lead organizational technology direction and develop enterprise technology strategies. She is focused on establishing the Red Cross industry liaison function to foster strategic partnerships with technology innovators and to ensure evolution of industry technology standards and solutions in ways that effectively meet the unique needs of the Red Cross and support its mission. Prior to joining the Red Cross, Nida served as the chief architect and assistant vice president of the Enterprise Architecture Program at the Federal Reserve Information Technology organization, working as a technology thought leader and executive consultant to help set architectural strategy and manage the Enterprise Architecture Program of the Federal Reserve System. Nida was recently recognized for her IT leadership as an award recipient of Computer World magazine's 2006 Premier 100 IT Leaders. Nida was previously the technology director of Hitachi Innovative Solutions (HISC), a leading platform-independent solutions provider focused on delivering enterprise-wide solutions to Fortune 500 clients in the areas of enterprise applications integration, CRM, wireless technologies, eBusiness, data warehousing and business intelligence. Prior to HISC, Nida served as senior manager of Architecture & Technology at UUNET, a Worldcom subsidiary and the largest global Business Internet Access Services provider. At UUNET, Nida was responsible for the strategy, architecture planning, standards and application infrastructure supporting e-business products and services. Prior to Worldcom, Nida held a number of management and technology leadership positions at AT&T in the areas of telecommunication billing, network usage records’ processing and networking technologies as well as posts at start-ups focused upon student loans processing. Nida received her bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering from Jordan University(1990), a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the American University in Cairo (1994) and holds a Masters of Arts in Leadership from Bellevue University, Nebraska (2004).
