Dan MarburgerArkansas State University-Main Campus I'm an economics professor at Arkansas State University. My primary area of research interest is the economics of sports. I've written one scholarly book (Stee-rike Four! What's Wrong With the Business of Baseball?). numerous journal and newspaper articles, and I have a forthcoming textbook in managerial economics with Addison Wesley Publishers. I've also won awards for both teaching and research. When I take off my hat as an academic, I'm heavily involved in community theater with my daughter, Katie (who performed for President Bush at the White House in 2004 and Carnegie Hall in 2008). My own community theater acting credits range from Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast to the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz to Robert in Proof. Unlike Katie, who dreams of making it to Broadway, I'd settle for making it to YouTube. |
