Willard Hollopeteram a retired Nebraska Sandhills rancher. I am a cowboy poet and helped start Old West Days and the Nebraska Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Valentine, NE. I have a book of Cowboy Poetry and short stories, "Lost Trails" that was selected to receive the Academy of Artists Will Rogers Madallion Award for 2009. I write a column for the MidLand News of Valentine, have been writing it for over twenty years, and have a weekly radio program, the Heritage Trail, on KVSH radio. I lost my beloved second wife Mary to cancer on February 1st and am terrible lonely. |
