Jurgen Van Pletsen

I have been doing business in the IT industry since 1989, starting in the software development market for many years as an independent contractor, developing over 30 software solutions for SAB Miller, Anglo American, Swaziland Sugar Association, Metro Cash and Carry, etc. Since 1999 my primary focus moved to Project Management and since been associated with larger IT companies to project manage and implement various solutions and systems, predominantly within the SAP market since 2005 and recently completed a major OEM Logistics project and a template rollout for a 1st tier supplier. During this period as Project Manager I was introduced to the IBM Custom Application Development (CAD), ASAP and certified in PRINCE 2 and PMP (PMBOK) methodology / processes. More recently as from July 2008 I am also involved in the Sales and Solution Design department for the Health care industry. Currently I am a Senior Project Manager in a multi-national ICT company in South Africa and reports directly to the Business Manager – Projects & Design. I am interested to pursue similar opportunities in Ireland, Dubai or Saudi Arabia.
