Owner/Head Trainer, Purely Positive Dog Training

I have been working with dogs most of my life. I began training as a serious hobbyist in the early 1990's when compulsion training was the norm and positive training was still in its infancy. Like most dog owners at that time, I knew there had to be a better way, but just didn't know what it was. Since then I have been studying animal behavior and training independently, applying my experience/knowledge as a professional educator to my training, and finally became seriously involved in training several years ago, when I started to foster/train for a local rescue group, finally putting to use 10+ years of research and practice with my own and other family/friends dogs. Shortly thereafter I adopted my current dog, HRH Princess Grace, who was so special I decided she needed more than just plain old manners, so we started training for and participating in Rally-O and Agility. I have attended several dog training seminars to further my education. I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer - Knowledged Assessed, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Star Puppy Evaluator and a Dog Scouts of America Scoutmaster.
