I'm a Technical Expert in Sound Quality, with Ford Motor Company. My specialty is developing objective metrics that correlate with subjective impressions of sounds and determining the design parameters which influence those metrics. At Ford, we apply this discipline to a wide variety of components - everything from door closing to how the power mirror sounds. I do extensive DSP coding, mostly in Matlab for prototyping, but often C/C++ for distribution. I'm also proficient in Visual Basic, various assemblers, Labview, etc. I'm an electrical engineer by training, and keep up with field by doing both analog and digital design work and reading the trade press.
