In general my philosophy is quite simple: Always do your best. This personal “commitment to excellence” can be focused in three simple ways: 1. Take care of our people. • Train folks, follow the Golden Rule, use good stewardship, empower authority, provide feedback, and hold people accountable. 2. Take care of our customers. • Try to say “yes”, accomplish the mission, strive to meet expectations, stay informed, and communicate often. 3. Take care of Navy Region Northwest and our supported Installations. • Be efficacious (efficient & effective), think creatively, challenge “dumb” things, keep things simple, and improve our products or services.
