I teach computer science courses and research into pattern recognition, machine learning and machine perception in Manchester.
Prior to my current job, I was on the faculty of The University of Birmingham, Peking University, Ohio State University, Kyushu Institute of Technology and Tsinghua University. I was also a visiting professor in Microsoft Research Asia and The Polytechnic University of Hong Kong.
