Jack West

Jack G. West This former National Football League Free Agent holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (1973’) in Education and Science from Eastern New Mexico University. While at Eastern Jack was on a four-year athletic scholarship and received numerous awards during his career in College football. Some of those accomplishments include 1970 Little-All American candidate nomination and 1970 American Sportswriters Small College first team nomination at the wide receiver position, Region 13 pass reception leader and total yards gained after reception 1970 season. Jack’s NFL participation as a free agent, though limited, lasted two years (1973’ & 1974’) and resulted in many great experiences and friendships with many NFL legends like, Bob Hayes, Bob Lilly, John Niland, Mel Renfro, Tony Dorsett, and close friend and business associate, Larry “Rayfield” Wright, all of the Dallas Cowboys. Jack also credits his discipline and drive from coach and friend, Lamar McHan, legendary Special Teams and Receiver Coach for many years with the New Orleans Saints. Thru his experiences in the NFL, Jack developed the, “Player Career Path Program”, which sets guidelines for NFL players to develop strategic career plans for the transition from professional sports to careers in Business and Corporate America. Jack has worked with players from NFL teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, St Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders. Jack has also worked with several of the NFL teams Player Program Directors, such as Robert Newhouse, of the Dallas Cowboys. The “Player Career Path Program” continues to be used by several Consultant & Career Investment Organizations today. Jack’s Marketing Career started in 1977. Since that time, he has been responsible for sales, marketing and management in Corporate America. His career includes, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) (Rookie of the Year 1977). Olympus America Corporation, responsible for sales, clinical training and territory management of all Surgical Endoscopy products. United States Surgical Corporation, providing sales, marketing and technical assistance to Surgeons in the operating room with surgical instruments used in general, thoracic, gynecologic, and urologic surgery. Cardinal Health, Surgical Territory Manager for the Surgical Products Division. Hill-Rom Corporation’s Post Acute Division as Capital Manager for the Mid-America Region.
