I made extensive use of SQL and Excel. 1994-2002 EDS-Indianapolis 4700 W 10th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46222 Systems Administrator Advanced From 1994 to 2002, I served as an OpenVMS Systems Administrator supporting multiple accounts on a variety of VAX and Alpha machines. During 1998-1999, I was the Y2K project leader for all VAX & Alpha machines. I organized, planned, and scheduled the entire Y2K Compliancy Project. I directed the necessary upgrades of all OpenVMS systems to Y2K compliancy levels, the application of all necessary patches and the required tests to insure network compliancy. On a daily basis I worked with customers including: union members, foreman, plant managers, network engineers, DBAs, operators, account System Engineers, supervisors, and managers. I also interfaced with vendors and scheduled and organized repairs needed on machines or software. I utilized SAS for System Performance Reporting. 1985-1994 Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Kokomo/Indianapolis, Indiana Advanced Systems Engineer Worked in an application development environment as a Systems Engineer. I developed and supported applications using JCL, FORTRAN, COBOL, PL/1, IMS and CICS in an MVS environment. Additional Skills, Strengths and Abilities • I have participated in many Mission/Work Trips for my church. I speak and read some Spanish. In 2001, my group completed the construction of three kindergarten buildings in Mexico. In 2007 and in 2008, our group spent a week in New Orleans helping Katrina victims rebuild their homes. • I have organized my Optimist Club’s annual fundraiser for over thirty years. Gross receipts have grown from $8,000-10,000 to $20,000-25,000. This involved the planning, ordering of all supplies, recruitment and scheduling of workers for all shifts and direction of workers for the successful operation of the three-day annual event.
