Christian TuckerStrictly "G" Entertainment This native Houstonian hales from the Historic Third Ward area of Houston Texas, and comes from a family of performers beginning his funtastic entertainment career at the tender age of four. He served as emcee at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York City at age seven. Since then, he has delved into practically every aspect of the entertainment industry. As an actor, producer, emcee, disc jockey and now author and director he has been on stages for the majority of his life. Among the highlights of this momentous journey are working with artists such as: Houston’s own Destiny’s Child, Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, War, Najee, Spyro Gyra, Stanley Clarke, Ronnie and Hubert Laws, the Late artists; Art Porter, Stanley Turrentine, Beau Jocque, and Grover Washington Jr. as well as The Crusaders, just to name a few. Chris has also played vital roles in several award winning productions including: The Emmy award winning Scott Joplin’s “Treemonisha” produced by The Houston Grand Opera, the Emmy award winning documentary by channel 11's Jerome Gray “High Notes...A Journey Home”, he also received the Ensemble Theatre’s Georgee Award for outstanding acting ability for his performance as Roland Watts, in “Brown Silk & Magenta Sunsets”. Other Ensemble Theatre credits include: Benjamin Hurspool, in "The Poison Tree", Rex, in "Hannah Davis", Jacob Marley, in "Christmas Is Comin' Uptown”, and his debut performance as Junie, in "Happy Ending" 1981. August Wilson's "Jitney" at the Hobby Center For The Performing Arts/Houston most recently. Chris is currently the Master of Ceremonies at the historic Houston Arena Theatre. |
