Steven Turnipseed

Steven D. Turnipseed graduated in 1978 from SUNY Empire State College with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Administration. Subsequently, Steven D. Turnipseed served as a Physician Assistant (PA) at Family Care Medical Group in Compton, California, and Lemus Medical Center in Commerce, California. In this capacity, Steven D. Turnipseed provided primary care, drug screening, Department of Transportation physical exams, X-rays, and physical therapy. Following his tenure at Lemus Medical Center, Steven D. Turnipseed enrolled at the University of Washington, graduating with a Master of Public Health Administration in 1986. While studying at the University of Washington, Steven D. Turnipseed joined the Beverly Hills Medical Center as Director of Surgical Services. For five years, Steven D. Turnipseed managed Beverly Hills Medical Center's 15-member staff in three different office locations. Steven D. Turnipseed has since held primary care PA positions at Community Women's Medical Clinic of Los Angeles and Centro Medico Urgente of North Hollywood. As a Founding Director of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Steven D. Turnipseed received an appointment to the National Board of Medical Examiners Test Writing Committee, which developed the nation's first physician assistant national certifying exam. Steven D. Turnipseed also holds membership in both the California and Washington Academies of Physician Assistants. In addition, Steven D. Turnipseed has received many accolades, including the Community Leader Award in Washington, The Washington Academy of Physician Assistants' Distinguished PA Award, and an induction into the PA Hall of Fame. Steven D. Turnipseed, also an educator, has delivered numerous lectures across the country. From 1972 to 1976, Steven D. Turnipseed served at SUNY Stony Brook University as an Assistant Professor of Health Sciences. Currently, Steven D. Turnipseed owns and manages 3T Associates, Inc., his own health care service. Concurrently, he serves as a primary care PA with Centro Medico Santa Cruz in Paramount, California. A dedicated patron of today's youth, Steven D. Turnipseed has supported the Central Area Youth Association of Seattle, a non-profit organization tutoring young people in life skills and athletics.
