Following a 20-year career as an attorney privately serving clients in estate planning and wealth management, Robert J. Pape Jr. worked to facilitate fundraising and gift giving with several community and youth-oriented organizations. This shift toward the public sector culminated in the establishment of Pape Consulting Services, LLC, based in Port Washington, New York. Pape Consulting Services provides services to non-profit organizations, including the creation and implementation of strategic fundraising plans to meet fundraising objectives, the development of major gift and planned giving programs, the development of written materials for the expansion of mission awareness, donor presentations and annual fundraising appeals. Robert J. Pape Jr. honed his skills in these areas during his career as an attorney and in numerous financial management positions with other organizations. In 2005, Pape accepted a position with the Boy Scouts of America as Associate Regional Director for the Regional Endowment Counsel of the Northeast Region. As Associate Regional Director, Robert J. Pape Jr. facilitated major and planned gifts to endowment funds of the 71 local Boy Scout Councils. Pape also advised the National Foundation of the Boy Scouts of America in Dallas, Texas, to coordinate the closing of major gifts on behalf of the organization. Robert J. Pape Jr. went on to successfully advise the Institute for Student Achievement in Lake Success, New York, to increase donor revenue in excess of state or projected annual target goals. He established partnerships with individual donors and corporate donors including Xerox Corporation, Bank of America, Wachovia, HSBC and PepsiCo. Pape developed significant board relationships for revenue support. Pape was also instrumental in enabling the funding for the construction and support services for the William Clark Science Lab, raising over $500,000 on behalf of New York City's LaSalle Academy. Pape is an instructor and member of the tuition committee at St. Peter of Alacantra Parish in Port Washington, New York, where he created a social ministry facility for the parish. He has shown an unparalleled devotion to family and community in his decades of public and private work.
