Luciana SuranEconomist , CBRE Econometric Advisors Economist Luciana Suran has conducted crucial research into important matters such as health care policy, poverty, economics, political systems, commercial real estate, and econometrics. Major international organizations such as The Population Council, Inc.; John Snow, Inc.; and, her current employer, CBRE Econometric Advisors (CBRE-EA) have benefited from Luciana Suran's analysis. In addition to her employers, many professional groups rely on Luciana Suran for her insights into the economy and other matters. During her three years at The Population Council, Luciana Suran received assignments to study the demographics, health, and economy of Bangladesh. What she learned enabled her to write about the inhabitants of the country. Luciana Suran presented a co-written piece "Program Efforts To Delay Marriage Through Improved Opportunities: Some Evidence From Rural Bangladesh" at the 2005 Annual Meeting of the Population Association of America in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Four years later, the Electronic Journal of Time-Use Research published "Terms of Marriage and Time-Use Patterns Of Young Wives: Evidence From Rural Bangladesh," another study conducted by Luciana Suran and her writing partner. Gaining recognition for her work at CBRE-EA, Luciana Suran co-wrote 2008's "Expectations & Market Realities in Real Estate" for Principal Real Estate Investors, Real Estate Research Corporation, and CBRE/Torto Wheaton Research. Reuters news service quoted Luciana Suran in a November 2009 article on the economic forecast for warehouse availability and demand within the United States. In October 2010, the Supply Chain Council, Inc. and the Procurement Leaders Network selected Luciana Suran to speak about "Supply Chain Management in the New Global Economy," focusing on the impact of the recent recession on supply chain operations. Currently, Luciana Suran is preparing to obtain a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. When not working for CBRE-EA or speaking on economic issues, Luciana Suran enjoys music, soccer, and independent film. |
